I am trying to get some information as I think I am going to have a problem getting contents insurance. Unoccupied cottage is the problem as it is a good little rental in 7/12 months but then the winter months are quite slow and as it is fully furnished I want to make sure that I can be completely covered for the whole time. I read somewhere that you can use buy to let home insurance but it only covers it for 90 days of non-occupancy. Is there any other way around it? |

Can’t you just use the 90 days policy you said and then make sure someone stays in it for one night to start the 90days over again? I am sure that will be easier than trying to look for a specialist insurance that is most probably going to charge you through the roof. |
