What's the deal with the supplemental insurance @ Aflac? Is it actually any good? They offer a 'wellness' supplement but it says you may get some preventative tests covered. And then says that these will incur a charge. So you pay for the cover and then for the tests??

No, I think what they mean is that they will cover tests that would otherwise incur a fee. I presume this is pretty obvious, but I think they want to put your mind at ease that you won't be paying for extra cover that actually wouldn't be of any use to you because the tests are free anyway... I can't see how much the cover actually costs: presumably it differs between customers. If it's not too expensive, I think it's a good idea. Prevention, as they say, is better than cure! And regular mammograms and smears, or prostate exams and blood screening, increase your chances of catching serious illnesses in their earliest stages!
