I have had a young person’s account with Yorkshire bank for a while now and they have sent me a letter saying that as I am turning 18 soon I will be able to get a Yorkshire bank debit card with the readycash account. But the thing is, is that I have been having problems using my Maestro card that they gave me online and abroad etc. Does anyone know which card I will be given with the readycash account? Is it a Maestro card again or will I be given a VISA or something? I am just asking as I think I will change banks if not, its really not worth the hassle. In this day and age you would think that all cards given out to customers would be online compatible but it just seems to be seldom that a company accepts Maestro. What do you think? |

I completely agree mate, they should defo get rid of all those crappy cards, makes you feel like a low life who isn’t trusted to even use a decent card. |

Have you seen the charges that Maestro cost companies to accept? Its no wonder no one wants to accept them anymore. But don’t worry, I think that they are all Mastercard now, there are no more Maestro cards. |

Just check with your branch if you are worried as I don’t think there is any info online about it. |
