I seem to be having trouble using my NatWest Mastercard online. I only just received it a few days ago but there are a couple of bills that needed paying so thought I could just use it straight away online. I have put money in the account when I opened it so I am sure there is enough in the account, but I cant understand why none of the payments will go through and they don’t give me any explanation.

Did you call to activate your card when you first received it? If so, have you read the T&Cs of the card yet, sometimes there are special conditions to certain cards that say that you have to withdraw money from a cash point as the first action that the card makes. I would pop down to the cash point and see whether it works there first, if it does and then online it still doesn’t work then you have a problem. If not then perhaps there is a problem with the card. Either way you will find out.
