I've read that the idea of the anonymous debit card crops up every so often in banking circles, acting as a 'change purse' or a 'fake credit card'... Does anyone know if this is an outdated idea from past times or a product of the future?

Ok, what's an anonymous debit card?? Surely this can't exist? A debit card always has to be linked to a bank account, this is how the money can be 'debited' from someone's balance... The money or debt has to belong to someone... How would this be protected against fraud / theft?

I have heard about these cards, they sound so interesting if not a little strange. You don’t get any statements delivered to your address and nothing has your name on it. It is true it does have its advantages as it is better to use online as no one gets to see your details. But that could also be seen as a disadvantage, if someone then gets your card, they do not need to know your address details and such to use it. Or is that incorrect…. These things are so technical.

Thanks guys any ideas on who offers such credit cards? Are the requirements still the same? Are there minimum income requirements?
