I will be travelling from tomorrow around Europe and I forgot to inform the Debit card services Barclays. I have just tried calling but they are closed and I wont have time before I leave. Will they block my card when I try and use it abroad? Can I inform them by an email service at all?

Wont you be able to just call them from abroad? Surely you will have a few minutes when you have arrived rather than taking the risk of them suspending your funds during your trip. If not then email your branch if you have your account managers details and inform them you will be travelling, but not sure if this will work it depends on the relationship you have with your manager I suppose.
