I recently opened the NatWest Gold account that you pay for each month and you get benefits etc. I was told that I would get a Solo card but a card just came through for me this morning and it is a Maestro card. How come? Do I get two cards? Or have they made a mistake and sent me the wrong card?

I doubt that they would have just sent you the wrong card; it is more likely that the advisor you dealt with misinformed you about the card that you were going to receive, or filled out your form incorrectly. The NatWest gold account can be either a solo or a maestro card and this normally acts upon your credit rating so perhaps yours was less than what the advisor had thought and therefore you were not eligible for the Solo card. But to be honest it won’t make that much of a difference, I think the only main difference is that the maestro card cannot act as a cheque guarantee card. That’s it.
