I'm trying not to be a control freak mum, but with all the talk of poor money management starting early and spiralling debt amongst young people it's hard! My kids have had their own money and bank accounts for years, but I've heard there are debit cards that offer parental protection: does anyone have any information on the best debit cards for children?

You can get debit cards now that enable you to put a limit on how much can be spent at one time. As far as I know, the limit can be set per day, week or month. This means your kids are less able to spend all their money. You may even be able to organise it so that you have the authority to set and change the limit so you can monitor their spending. What did you mean by 'parental protection' though? Surely you're trying to protect your kids...?
