I am a little confused about the Bank of Scotland Preference Account. Is it a credit card or is it a loan of some kind, or just an overdraft facility? I know that they have give me an initial credit limit of £1,000 but I don’t know what this is. Is it like an overdraft or credit like on a credit card? Can I use this money straight away or do I have to pay to use it? |

It is just like a current account but with a never ending credit limit, more like an overdraft facility. It has been know to get people in to a lot of trouble so I would try and go elsewhere if possible. You open the account they give you money, then once you reach the limit they just extend it without even checking your circumstance or anything and it goes on and on.
