I applied for internet banking a while back and have been using it and everything is fine. However I know that my internet is going to be down for a few days next week around the same time I need to make a payment so my question is, is Yorkshire Bank telephone banking the same as internet banking, ie can I use my online pin on the phone so that they can do a transfer for me. I do have access to internet at work but I am not sure how secure it is. What do you think?

I do not think that they are the same numbers, usually they are completely separate to one another and they do not even have access to your internet pin as it is all kept separately.

Yeh you have to actually ask to be set up for telephone banking, you have to call them or order your PIN in branch, but if it is for next week you will probably receive it on time. I would just call them up and ask to have a telephone PIN sent out to you.

Easier solution… just do the transfer now, but to be actually transferred next week. I do it all the time, just set up a future date transfer that way at least you know it will be paid when needed then when your internet comes back on you can go back to using it as normal.

Think I am going to do both to be sure, going to call for a banking PIN for the next time and then make a future date transfer just in case it doesn’t come through in time. Thanks a lot, so glad I found this page icon_wink.gif
