I have three debit accounts with the Halifax: one very old one with only a couple of pounds in, one 'current' one that I use all the time, and an older one that my parents and grandparents sometimes pay birthday money into. What is the best way to combine these debit accounts?

I'd say it's a lot easier to close the accounts you don't use than try to 'combine' them. You can take the money out of them when you close them (you might have to do this in person at the bank) and then put this money into your one 'current' account. This simplifies your finances, but may not keep your birthday money separate from your regular cash... Is this important to you? If so, why don't you keep that money in a savings account?
