I have access to both my current account and credit card account via online banking. Loyds TSB say that you can transfer money between accounts instantly... does this mean I no longer need to pay my credit card at least three working days in advance? |

I would imagine so, yes! Transfers between accounts at the same bank should always be recognised instantaneously. If Lloyds claim that transfers via online banking are instant, it sounds like you can escape the need to pay in advance. It might be worth double checking with them though, in case they have a specific set of rules for credit card payments... Halifax allows me to make an 'instant' payment to my credit card from my current account, but actually charges me if it's not done a few days in advance... |
