I am trying to help my daughter out with her wedding expenses and I want to send her over some money to America. At first I was thinking to use the money transfer companies but the amount that I want to transfer has a high rate that I would have to pay them so I am hoping to just transfer it directly from my branch (NatWest Eltham) to her account (Bank of America)? Would I have to pay a lot for example if I wanted to send about £10,000? Is this even possible?

Just had a look online for you and no info mate, sorry. Think it’s one of them where you have to actually go in branch see how much they are going to charge you. I can’t see a connection between the two banks but that won’t stop you from being able to transfer to her. You just need all the international details in order to make a payment.
