I want to know whether there are any age restrictions on setting up a NatWest Direct debit. I want to join my local gym but I was wondering whether or not it would be possible to set up a direct debit at 16? I mean if I am old enough to have a gym membership then shouldn’t the terms on the direct debit forms be the same? Or do they have specific age limits?

I would say that if your gym offers you the direct debit option then it is ok. They are obviously the ones who are setting up this payment plan so they should have checked it out. Worse comes to worse your bank will reject it and then you will simply have to find another way to pay them. If you cannot afford to pay them all at once then I would say ask a family member to pay on your behalf and then pay them back month by month.
