Can I take my UK lease-car abroad? I wanted to do a pre-Christmas shop in Calais and would rather go by car than just going across on the ferry, want to stock up on the booze ready for the festive period. Is this possible?

Yes it probably is possible but not sure if the costs will add up to more than what you expect. Have you thought about the coach trips they organize, that way you can still bring a fair amount back?

You have to check with them as sometimes they make you pay a silly amount to take it abroad as they have to issue you with some kind of international registration….
