Help with crazy car loan interest rate! Car + Malaysia = problem!

Hi am looking for car loan in Malaysia and for some reason I can't find the right info... it seems a bit crazy! You can get a loan and there's a table of repayments over 10 years... and I'm only travelling here for a year! I don't want to pay for ten! And the table doesn't tell me the interest rate. Car? Malaysia? It's all possible in some weird way that I don't understand! Has anyone done this before? |

Why do you need a car loan if you're only travelling for a year? I would think it's a lot more hassle to buy a car on credit than get an old banger for cash... or just use the train / coaches? I got a first class train ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth (4hours) for the equivalent of only €20... And I could have travelled for a lot less in economy! I don't understand how you think you'll be approved for a car loan in Malaysia when you're a traveller? |
