I'm looking to borrow money to buy a car in Australia while I'm travelling there. I'll be there for two years, so I'll have time to repay it. Has anyone got any experience of Australian car loans? Gold Coast Finance seem to be offering fair rates and Approved Car Loans operate in all the right places!

Gold Coast Finance offer deals with a two year repayment period, so they might be lender potential. Have you already researched getting loans as a non-resident? I'm not sure whether Australian lenders have different rules to accommodate all the travellers who want money to buy old wrecks and drive them about the island, but non-residents usually face problems. You'll have to prove income, residency, credit history and have a local bank account. At least, as I say, that's what you'd need in the UK! Maybe you could borrow the money here and buy the car in Australia?
