I am thinking of getting a car but am unsure which is better, buying vs. leasing a car? I have heard that leasing is only good if you don’t drive a lot, is this true? Does anyone know what the average mileage allowed is for a car lease?

Usually it is not only a matter of mileage, but also about how long you wish to keep the car for. Leasing is often good for those who like to change their car often. I personally lease but it is a lifestyle choice. I prefer luxury cars and leasing allows me to drive a luxury car with minimal costs. The only main costs are due to maintenance. But even then, when I take it in for repairs etc I get a loan car for free, whereas most insurances on owned-cars have a fee for this service, but I suppose it depends on the company you go with.

It is better to lease a car than to buy. Why buy something that loses value each day that you own it?

Leasing often only gives you an average of 10000-15000 allotted miles per year, not a lot if you are a frequent car user. Buying is much better, you don’t have any limitations and it’s great knowing that it is actually yours icon_wink.gif Also insurance is much higher when leasing.
