Is my insurance going to be affected if I want to insure a lease/hire car? I am thinking of leasing a car but not sure of what the difference will be to my monthly payments.

When you say lease/hire a car I imagine you mean contract hire, as general hiring of a car would not require insurance as you are covered by the company. But when leasing a car it depends on what type of car you have at the moment and how much you pay and whether the type of car will change. Do you currently have a new car? It will probably go up if you previously had an old car but not sure by how much.
