Of all the ridiculous things to claim on, I came to my car the other day (in a supermarket car park) to find that it had be spray-painted with a “lovely” rainbow across the sides. Granted I was not best pleased, but need to find out does car insurance cover vandalism such as this?????

It depends what kind of insurance you have. Fully comp defiantly covers you, but TPFT only covers vandalism if damage was done whilst someone was stealing it so doubt it would work in your case. And a definite no for third party only insurance. But to be fair wouldn’t it be cheaper to just pay for it to be re-sprayed? If you know a decent mechanic they can do it for quite cheap, because if not you will have to pay for the excess on your insurance, plus lose your no claims and then have higher premiums each year just for this small job.
