I have been reading recently that in America there are many opportunities for disabled veterans such as myself and that you can often apply for specific business loans for disabled veterans. I have a very good business idea that I think could really work, I have drafted up a business plan but am having difficulty finding similar loans in UK. Do we have anything similar? If not a loan then maybe a grant?

Unfortunately I do not think we are as big on the “veteran loans” as America is which seems silly. But at the same time bank and other lender are not allowed to discriminate against any disabilities so in theory you should be able to get a normal business loan if your business plan is good and you have covered all the aspects. Also I suppose it will depend on your credit rating and how good of a potential borrower you are.
