Social Fund

The Social Fund is the fund which supplies the money for Budgeting Loans, Cold Weather Payments, Community Care Grants, Crisis Loans, Funeral Payments, Sure Start Maternity Grants and Winter Fuel Payments. There are no set amounts for loans made by the Social Fund. You can apply for a loan should your circumstances necessitate it, and your claim will be considered individually. The amount that you receive will depend on your situation, your family, income and expenses and your immediate needs.
