New Deal for Single Parents

The New Deal for Single Parents scheme, or New Deal for Lone Parents as it is sometimes called, is a voluntary scheme intended to help unemployed single parents return to the workplace. If you choose to participate you will be given a personal advisor who will help you find suitable employment, assess your skills, locate useful training programmes, cover travel costs and answer any questions you have about childcare options for working parents. Your personal advisor can also inform you of how any current benefits might be affected, and what additional benefits you might be entitled to claim.
