Mobility Supplement for War Pensioners

If you are currently receiving a War Disablement Pension and you are unable to walk, you may receive a War Pensioner Mobility Supplement. This is an extra benefit paid to War Disablement Pensioners who have had both their legs amputated, or whose disability prevents them from walking. There are two rates of this Mobility Supplement; Officers are entitled to £2,726 a year whilst all other ranks are entitled to £52.25 a week. If you qualify your War Pensioner Mobility Supplement will be paid either weekly, monthly or annually into an account you nominate, via direct debit. If you want advice regarding this benefit, please contact the Veterans Helpline on 0800 169 3458, or for advice on claiming, contact the Benefit Enquiry Line on 0800 88 22 00.
