Job Grant

If you have been receiving one or more benefits including Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Severe Disablement Allowance for at least twenty-six weeks and these are expected to stop now that you or your partner are taking up at least sixteen hours full-time work a week and the job is expected to last longer than five weeks, you may be entitled to a Job Grant. This is a one-off tax-free lump sum of between £100 and £250. You do not need to claim your Job Grant, it will usually be awarded to you automatically. If you believe that you were entitled to a Job Grant but have not received one, you can contact Jobcentre Plus on 0800 055 6688 for assistance.
