Calculating Over 80s Pension and the Age Addition

If you currently receive no State Pension you may receive the maximum Over 80s Pension, see Over 80s Pension, of £52.30 a week. If you receive a reduced State Pension the Over 80s Pension may top this up to a maximum of £52.30 a week. However, the amount of Over 80s Pension you will receive depends solely on your personal circumstances. If you are entitled to the Over 80s Pension you should receive this amount or more for the rest of your life. People over eighty years of age are also entitled to an ‘age addition’ to their State Pension. This age addition is currently an extra twenty-five pence each week. If you and your spouse are both over eighty years of age you will both receive the age addition.
