Incomplete National Insurance Record

If your National Insurance record is incomplete, perhaps because of time spent travelling, studying, caring for others or unemployed, you may be able to rectify the situation and ensure you are entitled to a full State Pension in one of three ways:

• by making voluntary National Insurance contributions
• by claiming Home Responsibilities Protection
• by using your partner's National Insurance record instead of your own
