Further Specialist Services

Current accounts are usually free of charge for day-to-day use. However there may be charges for some specialist services. The following is a list of possible services that are normally subject to extra charges.

• Stopping a cheque (unless lost or stolen)
• Special (or express) cheque clearance
• Additional printed statements
• Use of the same-day Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS) transfer system between accounts
• Emergency cash access (cash access over the maximum withdrawal limit or cash withdrawal in case of lost or stolen card)
• Unauthorised overdraft (see Overdraft Charges)
• Unpaid transactions due to insufficient funds (see Bounced Cheques and Unpaid Items)
• Bounced cheques (see Bounced Cheques and Unpaid Items)
• International withdrawal and transfer (see International Transactions)
