Financial Advisors

Most banks offer a free financial advisor service; advisors can inform you about the current accounts on offer, and can also offer specialist advice for businesses, or customers who have had financial problems in the past. As with most additional banking services, some banks and building societies will offer more access to a financial advisor than others. Some banks include independent financial advisers as part of a packaged current account deal (see Specialised Current Accounts). The opportunity to discuss your personal finances with a financial advisor is a great benefit, and will help you to ensure that you are correctly managing your finances and taking advantage of your bank or building society's best offers. However, truly independent financial advice can really only be guaranteed from a financial advisor not employed by any bank or building society.
