Special Needs Grant

If you are supporting others whilst a student, because they are financially dependent on you, you may be entitled to a special 'dependants grant'.

Local Authorities may also provide special needs grants to students who suffer from mental or physical disabilities, or particular learning difficulties. As is the case with most loans and grants, these will be means-tested, meaning that your individual circumstances will be assessed in order to determine the level of support to which you are entitled.
